GANTZ
Graphics/Animation: A - - - Not going to get into this other than say very good animation and good character designs. Solid A. Done by Gonzo, and if you watch much anime, which I assume anyone reading this does,
Story: A- / B+ - - - The story in my opinion is great, but if you need 'closure' and all your questions answered, drop it to a B or B-. Otherwise, I give this an A- / B+, because it does have some areas where you can tell where they could have gone deeper into something, but instead turn away. However, in my eyes, the story wasn't too much the point of the anime (though the manga is a different story)
Characters: A+ / A - - - The character developement in this anime is amazing (at least in the main characters case for sure). It has a harsher more grounded view (IMO) on human beings, which if you watch it, you'll see why i'm pointing it out. Each character seems realistic. They're actually really human, and its interesting to see how they change and why they change. Pay attention :D
Music: B+ - - - I loved some of the music in this, (at least i found the opening song entertining, and really liked a couple of things of music in it) but the rest i dont remember in the slightest. Not being memorable definitely kicks it down to a B+, maybe a B or B- if you hate the kind of music it plays.
OVERALL: A- - - - A solid anime, gory, violent, profane, sexual, but absolutely amazing. I can see why it's been made into a live action. While I personally don't care for nudity or sexuality or perverted dogs (you'll see) this anime amazed me, despite that i started watching it with a low opinion because of the reviews i had read. I watched it anyways, and wow. In case I didn't make it clear. CHARACTER. Watch the whole thing (a couple of episodes does not count as watching a show and then getting upset at me for saying there's character development when you didnt see it in the first episode or two) Give it a watch if you don't mind too much on not having all your questions answered, and you like interesting, deeper albeit violent, etc. anime.
